Biography
Dr Patrick Tierney is a University of Cambridge, University of Bedfordshire and Canterbury Christ Church University Post Graduate educated expert, who has lived and worked internationally. Qualifications include but are not limited to: Professional Doctorate in Youth Justice, Master’s Degree in Management (Learning Programmes), Psychometrics, Rural Community Development, Existing Methodologies and Techniques in Training Adults on Environmental Issues. English, Portuguese, and French languages.
Dr Tierney has over 20 years of experience specialising in grant and funding applications from Foundations, UK Government Departments, European Union, United Nations and other funding agencies such as the National Lottery. As a Youth Justice expert, he has managed counselling and support for young people and adults in the community. Dr Tierney has provided expert focussed youth justice, mental health, historical child sexual abuse support, he has experience of victim support, behavioural interventions, drug and alcohol addiction, enterprise and employment, and environmental programmes in the community. His work has been supported by specially funded programmes working for the Police, Probation Service, Prison Service, Ministry of Justice and Home Office, and local government in the United Kingdom, as well as the European Union. He has lectured at universities across Europe, undertaken and participated in many research programmes in the European Union, and is currently the United Kingdom partner expert representative in a European Union, Erasmus Project researching Mental Health in disadvantaged groups alongside expert partner organisations from Denmark, Lithuania and Portugal. Dr Tierney for many years was the European Manager for Technology Enterprise Kent based at University of Kent at which time he was at the forefront of grant and funding applications for the agency as well as for the Kent Technology Transfer Centre.
Dr Tierney is a Registered member of The Federation of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners, and a Registered member of Pastoral Care UK
Hannah Vernon has worked within the cultural heritage sector for 20 years, developing her considerable skills, knowledge and experience through roles at the National Trust, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Churches Conservation Trust. Since 2015, Hannah has provided consultancy services to local charities, churches, sports clubs, heritage organisations and community groups; working with them to develop a range of projects, implement fundraising strategies and has secured £-millions of funding from regional and national grant givers for clients.
